Business Opportunities in Portugal and Norway - Event at Sentralen in Oslo

Welcome to the event at Sentralen in Oslo

Portugal and Norway - an Ocean of Opportunities for Business Cooperation

Are you a business with an interest in cooperation with Portugal or Norway?

Do you work on innovative solutions, processes and technology in the marine or maritime sectors, in renewable energy sources or in digitalisation?

We invite you for an event on business cooperation and a matchmaking at Sentralen in Oslo.

On 8 November 2022, Portugal visits Oslo with a delegation of representatives both from high-level political offices and innovative businesses. Together with Innovation Norway, Portugal will host an event and matchmaking between Norwegian and Portuguese businesses at Sentralen in Oslo. This event outlines upcoming opportunities for business cooperation in the areas of:

1. Maritime Technology

2. Fisheries and Aquaculture

3. Energy Resources and Biotechnology

4. The Digital Transition and Industry 4.0

Aims of the Event

The event aims to increase business cooperation in the marine/maritime sectors and in renewable energy from alternative sources.

It gathers businesses with green, innovative and competitive solutions from Portugal and Norway to boost cooperation on the development, adaptation, commercialisation and scaling.

Portugal and Norway share a common history related to the sea. Both are maritime nations with a history of exploration, navigation and fisheries. Marine resources gave rise to trade relations with great economic and social importance historically and today. Today, our seas, oceans and coastal areas are drivers of the economy. They have great potential for innovation, new technology and growth, but the increased level of activity along the waters put our shared resources at risk.

This event builds on these connections to focus on new solutions – products, processes or technology – that contribute to the green and digital transitions in Portugal, in Norway and in the ocean that connects us.

Opportunities for Norwegian Businesses in Portugal

As part of the event, the Portuguese state secretaries for internationalisation and planning will outline the latest opportunities for business cooperation between Portugal and Norway. Portugal is now investing massively in green and digital transition with its Recovery and Resilience Plan Portugal 2030. Norwegian businesses can partner with Portuguese businesses in the tenders that are now being rolled out. See the upcoming tenders on the website for Portugal 2030: https://recuperarportugal.gov.pt/?lang=en.

Portugal and Norway are also partners in the EEA Grants (EØS-midlene), which is Norway’s contribution to prosperity and cooperation with Portugal. The event is financed through the EEA Grants and will present the financing to Norwegian and Portuguese cooperation.

There is an ocean of opportunities for cooperation between Portugal and Norway. This event aims to help you navigate them. Join us and dive into it!
